There are 5 golf courses within a 30 minute drive, ranging from the Galway Bay course, with its spectacular views, to the local 18 hole course in Gort which has recently been re-designed and upgraded. Visitors are assured of a warm Irish welcome at each of them.

Try local rambles in exquisite scenery. Augill House is fortuitously positioned near to areas where walking is actively encouraged, and ramblers are welcomed.

Fishing and sailing can be arranged at nearby locations: the proximity of the coast, and the many Loughs and rivers, ensures plenty of opportunities for those who enjoy aquatic activities.

In Ireland, you are never very far from equine interests, and Mark would be more than happy to advise on (or accompany you to!) one of the regular race meetings at any of the wide variety of courses within travelling distance. If your interest in horses is more "hands on" there are opportunities for a session of horse riding at a local establishment.

Cultural interests: those who are prepared to travel a little further for an interesting day out can ride on the unique bog railway at Shannonbridge, enjoy the scenery and outdoor activities offered in the stunning setting of Connemara, or visit some of Irelands many historic houses and castles.
