Golf in Gort: Designed by Ryder Cup star, Christy O' Connor Junior, and officially opened in August 1996, Gort Golf Club is an 18 Hole Championship Golf Course. This is the nearest club to Augill House.

Galway Bay Golf and Country Club: the club can be found seven miles from Galway City through Oranmore Village. Set in parkland by the sea, it features many water hazards, with the Atlantic Ocean surrounding from three sides. 18 holes 7144 yards 6533 metres. S.S.S. 73. It has a putting green, chipping green, practice area, and indoor practice bays.

Galway can boast a quality course at Salthill. A tight tree lined course. Some tiered greens make it very important to accurately place your drives and a good short game is necessary to score well. The course has excellent views of Galway Bay, the Burren and the Aran Islands. Par 70 : Length 5,816 Metres.

• Athenry Golf Club is located 15km east of Galway City on the N6 (Dublin Road). A parkland course; most holes are tree lined and two feature holes are cut into bordering forest and combines a beautiful mix of park and heathland.
• Loughrea is located one and a half miles north east of the town on the New Inn Road only a twenty minute drive from Augill House. It is an undulating parkland course with beautiful views of town and the Slieve Aughty Mountains in background.
