The Galway Racing Festival takes place between Mon July 28- Sun August 3 inclusive.

Kinvara's Cruinniu na mBad, meaning "Gathering of the Boats", is a festival held in August each year that takes us back to a time when the majestic Galway Hookers used to transport turf/peat to Kinvara.

Kinvara's Fleadh ná gCuach meaning "Cuckoo festival" takes place over the May bank holiday weekend.

Gort Music Festival (Cooley - Collins) takes place the last weekend of October.

Coole Park Autumn Gathering (Lady Gregory Weekend) takes place at the end of September.

The village of Clarenbridge, only 6 miles away, is famous for its eating establishments, many of them specialising in sea-food. The annual oyster festival held in September draws tourists from all over the world.
